Biography
Clinical Specialties:Focuses on a range of skin conditions including Atopic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Acne Vulgaris, Rosacea, Hair Loss, and others.Research Interests:Concentrates on inflammatory skin diseases, notably Atopic Dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia areata, vitiligo, and ichthyosis. Investigations revolve around the activation of T- and B-cells in such conditions using multi-parameter flow cytometry. Aims to understand the immune mechanisms and discover therapeutic interventions. Notable research includes studying the tachyphylaxis of topical corticosteroids in psoriasis, the impact of Petroleum jelly on skin immunology, and the effectiveness of Climatotherapy at the Dead Sea.Educational and Professional Background:• 2021-2023: Associate Professor and Head of Dermatology at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel.• 2018-2021: Served as Associate Professor and Medical Director at Mount Sinai Doctors Astoria Dermatology, New York.• 2012-2015: Achieved an M.Sc. in Medical Sciences at Rockefeller University, New York.• 2007-2012: Completed Dermatology Residency and Postgraduate Studies at Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center and the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, respectively.• 2006-2007: Transitional Year Internship at Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center, Jerusalem.• 2001-2006: Graduated with an M.D., Cum Laude, from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa.• 1997-2001: Secured a B.Sc. in Medical Sciences from Hadassah Hebrew University, Jerusalem. -

Research Interests
My primary research interests lie in the realm of inflammatory skin diseases, specifically AtopicDermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia areata, vitiligo, and ichthyosis. I have focused on examining theactivation and differentiation of T- and B-cells in these conditions through the utilization ofcomprehensive multi-parameter flow cytometry. I am significantly involved in translationalresearch; the objective of my research is to gain a deeper understanding of the underlyingimmune mechanisms involved and to identify potential targets for therapeutic interventions. Ihave published extensively on these topics and am currently expanding my research to includebiomarker analysis. Additionally, I have conducted groundbreaking research on thetachyphylaxis of topical corticosteroids in psoriasis treatment, studied the effects of Petroleumjelly on skin immunology and investigated the effectiveness of Climatotherapy at the Dead Seafor various skin diseases. -
