Dr. Susana Agudelo Uribe is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She was commission into the U.S. Navy in 2012 through the Health Professional Scholarship Program and she obtained her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY in 2016. She completed her training in Pediatrics in 2021 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. She first served as battalion surgeon with the III Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa, Japan from 2017 to 2019. She later served as the sole pediatrician at Naval Hospital Sigonella in Italy, where she earned the AAP Uniformed Services East Chapter Outstanding Young Pediatrician of the Year award in 2022. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Agudelo Uribe is involved in academics, teaching medical students during rounds and pediatric residents through hands on courses in neonatal resuscitation.
