Dr. Ramakrishnan (Ramki) received his Ph.D. from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He received his post-doctoral training in Immunotoxins at the University of Kansas and subsequently moved to Cetus, a biotechnology company in the Bay area of California. He then joined the faculty of the Duke University Medical Center. After three years, moved to the Department of Pharmacology and OB/GYN, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He was the founding holder of the Shirley Ann Sparboe Chair in Women's Cancer Research. He is currently a professor in the DeWitt Doughtry Family Department of Surgery at the Miller School of Medicine.
