Dr. Sood is excited to come home as he and his twin brother were born in Plantation, FL and raised in Coral Springs, FL. As such, he holds strong ties to the community here. He attended the George Washington University for medical school and subsequently completed his radiation oncology residency at the University of Kansas where he served as chief resident. His role as an attending staff physician included serving as the Medical Director of the UMP Radiation Therapy Center satellite and adjunct Assistant Professor for the past seven years. During this period, he was able to grow and maintain a robust clinical practice in the community. He also participated in resident education for which he received awards including ARRO educator of the year award and Graduate Medical Education top 10 clinical teaching excellence awards.
