Biography
I began my career in 2001 as a faculty member at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, where I specialized and started training fellows, residents, and medical students in anesthesia for organ transplantation, complex surgeries, pediatric, and regional anesthesia. In 2016, with the rank of associate of Anesthesiology, I continued my professional journey in the United States, completing fellowships in solid organ transplantation, vascular anesthesia, and advanced clinical anesthesia at Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital.
Since 2018, I have served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, where I am also the Medical Director of the UHealth Preoperative Assessment Center. My clinical work centers on advanced anesthesia care for high-risk and complex surgical patients, while my academic role allows me to train residents and medical students. I remain active in research and peer review, and I was honored to receive the Professional in Medicine Award from Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami. -

Research Interests
My research has centered on perioperative care in transplantation and complex surgery, with a strong focus on optimizing outcomes in liver and kidney transplantation. I have investigated predictors of intraoperative blood loss, transfusion requirements, and post-reperfusion hemodynamic instability, as well as strategies to improve donor and graft viability.
In addition, I have published on anesthetic approaches for vascular and thoracic procedures, quality-of-life outcomes after cesarean delivery and major surgery, and the role of regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided techniques in pain management. My work also explores critical perioperative complications such as lactic acidosis, vasoplegic syndrome, and airway management challenges.
Across these studies, my aim has been to advance evidence-based practices in anesthesiology by integrating clinical research with innovations in perioperative medicine, ultimately improving safety, recovery, and quality of life for surgical patients. -
