  My main research interests are the identification of genetic factors that contribute to the increased susceptibility for multiple sclerosis (MS) in Hispanic patients and to characterize the disease process in this patient subpopulation. To continue participating actively in clinical trials dedicated to the development of new therapies for the more effective management of MS. In addition, I would like to continue my involvement in the search of possible retinal imaging biomarkers for tracking disease progression in MS.
