Shweta Anjan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Anjan completed Medical School from Kasturba Medical College Manipal in India. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Infectious Diseases and Transplant Infectious Diseases Fellowships at the University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Hospital and has been here since as faculty. Her clinical practice and research efforts are focused on transplant infectious diseases at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Miami Transplant Institute. She is also the Associate Program Director of the Transplant Infectious Disease Fellowship at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital. She has led several COVID-19 research trials which resulted in her work being published in leading medical journals. She is an active member of the medical education and mentoring committees of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. She enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors with her dog - Biscuit.
