Dr. Shreyas Kuddannaya, Ph.D., is a Research Assistant Professor of Neurology specializing in image-guided cell-based therapies for central nervous system injury caused by stroke or neurodegeneration. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and an M.S. from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. Before joining the University of Miami, he served as Research Faculty and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he worked on enhancing glial progenitor cell therapy for ALS.
Currently, within the Neuroendovascular Division (Yavagal lab), Dr. Kuddannaya is focused on advancing translatable intra-arterial stem cell therapies to address neuroinflammation and neuronal loss caused by stroke. He also studies real-time imaging guided cell therapy for intracerebral hemorrhage.
