Biography
Dr. Shekhar Gadkaree graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rochester where he majored in biomedical engineering. He matriculated to the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Tau Beta Pi Fellowship for Graduate Study and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then attended Massachusetts Eye and Ear/Harvard Combined Residency Program in Otolaryngology, where he was awarded the Award of Clinical Excellence in Teaching for residency, prior to completing a fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery with fellowship directors Dr. Peter Hilger and Dr. Harley Dresner.
Dr. Gadkaree's clinical interests include the full breadth of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, including rhinoplasty, cosmetic aging face surgery, complex head and neck reconstruction, congenital/craniofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate, microtia ear reconstruction, microvascular reconstruction, Mohs reconstruction, facial reanimation surgery for facial paralysis, facial trauma, and lymphovascular malformations.
He is devoted to creating and refining novel surgical techniques for complex reconstructive and aesthetic problems in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and head and neck surgery.
Dr. Gadkaree is double board certified in Otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. -
