  Dr. Banks is Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Anesthesiology. He has served as the Residency Program Director since 2011. He is the vice chair of the Graduate Medical Education committee and GME Executive committee for UM/JHS. He provides clinical services primarily at Ryder Trauma Center.
  
  Dr. Banks’ scholastic interests are in medical education, simulation, and quality improvement. In addition to his peer-reviewed publications, he has written and published several textbook chapters related to trauma, intensive care, and curricula for simulation.
