Seth A. Spector, MD received his medical degree from Boston University through a combined BA/MD program in 1994. He completed residency in General Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut which included a research fellowship in chronic pancreatic disease and then fellowship training at the UM-JMH Surgical Oncology program. After fellowship he was recruited to join the faculty in Surgical Oncology and lead general surgery at the Miami VA, where he became Chief of Surgery and Associate Chief of Staff in 2005, followed by Chief of Staff in 2022. He was promoted to Professor Clinical Surgery and also serves in regional and national leadership positions in the Department of Veteran Affairs. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
