Dr. Marcovich is a Board-Certified urologist and Residency Program Director at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine's Desai Sethi Urology Institute.He received his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Michigan, followed by an Endourology fellowship at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Marcovich has extensive expertise in all aspects of surgical and medical management of kidney stones. He is affiliated with the University of Miami UHealth Tower, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor on several occasions.
Dr. Marcovich has published extensively on topics including percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He has lectured nationally and internationally on kidney stone disease. His research interests span endourology, kidney stone management, and innovative surgical approaches in urology.
He serves as Residency Program Director for the Urology Residency Program at the University of Miami, overseeing the training of the next generation of urologists, and has been the recipient of the department's Urology Teaching Excellence Award and Distinguished Faculty Award.
