Biography
Dr. Yechieli is an Associate Professor in Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami and Medical Director for the department of Radiation Oncology at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He specializes in treating patients with sarcoma, lung cancers, brain metastases, genitourinary tumors and keloids. He has experience and expertise in the use of multiple treatment techniques including Proton therapy, Stereotactic Radiation, Gamma-Knife Radiosurgery and MR-Guided radiation therapy. His research interests are in delivery and outcomes for cancer patients, with a focus on patient-centered care, and education of the next-generation of radiation oncologists. He received his undergraduate degree from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore graduated medical school from University of Maryland, Baltimore. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit MI, where he served as Chief Resident from 2013-14.
Dr. Yechieli is the co-leader of the thoracic site disease group at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and serves on multiple local and national leadership committees and organizations. He is an avid runner, ice-hockey player, and when the ice melts, can be found swimming too. -
