  Dr. Werne completed her training here at the University of Miami as well as Jackson Health System. She joined the Division of Hospital Medicine in 2024. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and Society of Hospital Medicine. She is the course director for the Medical Humanities elective for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at University of Miami/Jackson Health System. Her interests include medical education at the medical student and resident level as well as medical ethics and humanities.
