Dr. Hernandez Oquet is a born-and-raised native of the Dominican Republic where he attended medical school. After completing his internal medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, he served as chief medical resident at the Miami VA and later joined the faculty as an assistant professor of clinical medicine for the Division of Hospital Medicine. His professional interests include integrating evidence-based medicine teaching into clinical practice, clinical reasoning, and medical education. He is a full-time academic hospitalist at UHealth Tower where he is the site director and associate program director for the internal medicine residency program.
