Biography

Dr. Taunk began his medical career at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he enrolled in the MD/MPH program in 2013. He went onto complete his internal medicine residency training at NYU Langone. He stayed on faculty for 3 additional years at Bellevue Hospital, the safety net hospital of Manhattan and obtained a certificate in POCUS education. Dr. Taunk joined UMMSOM's faculty in 2023 as an inpatient hospitalist at UMH. He also works as the co-Associate Medical Director of the hospital group and is the Clinical Skills Director of the medical school.
