Dr. Zegelbone was born and raised in South Florida. He obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida and completed general pediatrics training at Johns Hopkins University in 2019. He then went on to complete his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado in 2022. He works in the University of Miami/Jackson Health System pediatric cardiology program as a general pediatric cardiologist. Areas of his specialization include but are not limited to congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease in children, the evaluation of heart murmurs, syncope, chest pain, shortness of breath upon exertion, and heart failure.
In his role at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, he works in the outpatient setting in approximately 5 half-day sessions per week. He works at 4 unique locations including clinics at Jackson Main Hospital, Boca Raton, Weston, and Jackson South Hospital. His research interests include heart failure and community pediatrics.
His training to date has provided him with an excellent background in clinical care, research, and medical education. He has carried knowledge forward from his training at top-ranked medical institutions and looks forward to meeting the needs of you and your family.
