  Dr. Grattan graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science-Kinesiology degree (Movement Science focus) in 2000. He received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami in 2006. Dr. Grattan practiced outpatient, orthopedic physical therapy in a private practice setting from 2006 through 2016. His primary focus has been in the treatment of post-operative, sports, spine, and geriatric patients with an emphasis on manual therapy. Currently he is enrolled in the University of Miami Ed.D. Higher Education Leadership program. Originally from Long Island, NY he currently resides in Delray Beach, FL.

  Dr. Grattan is a co-researcher on a Department of Defense grant for the use of the Kiio system in The Development and Validation of a Protocol for Objective Quantification of Muscle/tendon Function in Chronic Tendinopathy. In addition, he is currently a co-author on the systematic review "Hip Strength Asymmetry within an Individual Leading to Injury in Sports." Previous research includes multiple studies on the validity and reliability of smartphone applications for goniometry and inclinometry, reliability of ultrasound measures of lumbrical thickness for manual muscle testing, ultrasound assessment of the shoulder distraction special test, and assignment of G-codes in the Medicare population in physical therapy.
