Biography
Dr. Pedro Cox-Alomar is board certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine and completed his residency in medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cox-Alomar completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Florida, a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Puerto Rico, and a fellowship in structural heart valve interventions at the Ochsner Clinic Medical Center. -

Research Interests
Dr. Cox is actively involved in clinical research, contributing to numerous protocols, and publishing extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals such as Arteriosclerosis, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), JACC Cardiovascular Interventions, and the Journal of the American Heart Association. He has authored several book chapters in major cardiovascular texts including two textbooks on endovascular interventions. His keen interest lies in improving access to heart valve disease interventions for underrepresented communities. -
