Dr. Panagiota Caralis is the Integrated Ethics Program Officer for the Miami VHS and Women Veterans Health Medical Director. She is the director of the Health Law pathway at the University of Miami Miller Medical School, which integrates education in health and law for medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition, Dr. Caralis is a prolific researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications on coronary heart disease in women, COVID-19, domestic violence, and human trafficking. She also works with the State Attorney’s office to educate legal personnel and school educators on the health impact of victims of abuse.
