She serves as Site Principal Investigator for the NIH-funded multicenter DISCOVERY study evaluating cognitive outcomes after stroke and is a sub-investigator for the Diverse VCID study examining vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia. Her earlier work through the Florida Stroke Registry focused on identifying racial, ethnic, and sex disparities in anticoagulation use among patients with atrial fibrillation-related stroke, helping to inform strategies to improve equitable stroke prevention. In addition to her clinical and research responsibilities, Dr. Sur is deeply committed to medical education and mentorship. Since 2020, she has served as Pathway Director for the Neuroscience and Behavioral Science Scholarly Concentration within the NextGenMD curriculum, where she mentors medical students in neuroscience research and career development.
