Biography
Dr. Nicole Pontee is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Miami. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital/the University of Miami. She then completed a second residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. She currently is the Medical Director of Comprehensive Inpatient Services at Lynn Rehabilitation Center for medically complex medical and post-surgical patients including transplant and LVAD recipients. She also runs the intrathecal baclofen pump clinic. -

Teaching Interests
She is committed to furthering medical education for medical students and residents in the inpatient rehabilitation setting as well as developing training and experience for learners in intrathecal baclofen pump management. She also serves as the block director for the residents’ medical rehabilitation didactic block. -
Research Interests
Her research interests include rehab outcomes for lung transplant patients and LVAD recipients. -
