Biography
Ney Alves, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidade de São Paulo Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto in Brazil in 1989. Dr. Alves completed his residency in internal medicine at Hospital das Clínicas da Universidade de São Paulo in 1993, and later completed an additional internal medicine residency at St. Louis University School of Medicine/St. Mary's Health Center in 1998. He pursued fellowship training in hematology at Boston University School of Medicine in 1994, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in 1996.
Dr. Alves specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic malignancies, including lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), leukemias, myeloma, and related blood cancers. He also has expertise in benign hematology and general oncology. -
