Biography
Dr. Natalia Chamorro is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, followed by fellowship training in Endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. During fellowship, she developed her research focus on endocrine complications of cancer therapies.
During fellowship, Dr. Chamorro was awarded a Foundation for Women’s Wellness grant to support her research, and she has been recognized by the Endocrine Society with the ENDO Early Career Forum Travel Award and the Mara E. Lieberman Memorial Travel Grant. She was also selected to participate in the Endocrine Society’s FLARE (Future Leaders Advancing Research in Endocrinology) program in 2024, which supports career development for physician-scientists. Dr. Chamorro’s ongoing work aims to improve the understanding and management of endocrine toxicities related to cancer therapies, with the goal of enhancing long-term outcomes and quality of life for patients.
Clinically, Dr. Chamorro provides comprehensive care across the field of endocrinology, with a special interest in pituitary disorders as well as expertise in diabetes mellitus, obesity, thyroid disease, bone health, and complex hormone disorders. She is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care that integrates cutting-edge research with clinical practice. In addition to her clinical and research activities, Dr. Chamorro is passionate about medical education and mentorship. -
