Dr. Carbajal graduated from the Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2015. She attended residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California at Davis in Sacramento, California, after which she attended fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at the University of Vermont. After completing fellowship, she joined the faculty at the University of Miami in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Her main focus is in pulmonary vascular disease, including pulmonary hypertension. However, she has a variety of interests that also include pulmonary physiology and disease during pregnancy, pulmonary infections, and social determinants of health.
