Biography
Dr. Meghan Cochrane is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
After earning her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Cochrane completed her Internal Medicine Internship at Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital. Dr. Cochrane completed her PMR residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Following residency, Dr. Cochrane returned home to Boston to complete her fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at Harvard Medical School Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Meghan Cochrane is double board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
In her role as PMR Inpatient Consultant at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Cochrane provides comprehensive and personalized rehabilitation services to patients with complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. -

Teaching Interests
As an Assistant Professor and double boarded physician, my mission is to furnish medical students, residents, and fellows with critical thinking skills and clinical reasoning abilities required for success, both academically and professionally, in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
I am passionate about shaping through education the next generation of physiatrists.
By incorporating evidence-based practice, case studies, clinical simulations, and hands-on learning opportunities I aim to seed in the trainees a profound understanding of the complexities of the PMR field, as well as compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. -
Research Interests
My research interests include a range of topics including neurorehabilitation, assistive technology, health disparities, and outcomes research.
I am committed to participating in research that optimizes functional recovery and improves quality of life of individuals with disabilities. -
