Biography
Dr. Martha Bloyer joined the faculty at the University of Miami (UM) Department of Physical Therapy in 2015. She is Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy, Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy, Vice Chair of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Clinical Education Coordinator, and the UM-NCH Pediatric PT Residency - Education Program Coordinator in the Department of Physical Therapy. She has a dual appointment at the Mailman Center for Child Development, Department of Pediatrics, where she serves as the Team Leader for the Interdisciplinary Developmental Evaluation Service (IDES) Clinic, and the PT Discipline Faculty Supervisor in the Leadership in Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program.
She has served in various roles in the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) and for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Teaching Interests
Dr. Bloyer's primary responsibilities include teaching pediatric content in both the Department of Physical Therapy program and in the UM-NCH Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency program. She also serves as Clinical Education Coordinator on the UM PT Clinical Education team. In addition, she has a clinical faculty position at the Mailman Center for Child Development in the Department of Pediatrics. .
Research Interests
Research interests include studies with children with disabilities, transition of healthcare, inter-professional education and collaborations, simulation in education and clinical education
