Dr. Markus Tauscher is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he specializes in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Dr. Tauscher obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Cologne in Germany, followed by Pediatric Residency training at the Children’s Hospital of the City of Cologne. Subsequently, he pursued Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System and he completed a Pediatric Residency training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Prior to joining the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Tauscher practiced Neonatology for over 17 years at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. During that time, he served as the research preceptor for the affiliated Residency Program and participated in international and national multi-center research projects.
Dr. Tauscher’s research interests include invasive and non-invasive respiratory support, Broncho-pulmonary Dysplasia, oxygen saturations, and neonatal resuscitation. He currently holds the position of Associate Program Director for the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Health System.
