Biography
Dr. Kushnirsky an assistant professor of neuro-oncology and director of outpatient satellite clinics in the neuro-oncology division. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Kushnirsky completed her undergraduate and medical education at Barnard College of Columbia University and Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, respectively. She continued her medical training at the University of Miami/ Jackson Health System neurology residency. She served as administrative chief resident in her final year, and graduated as resident of the year, in addition to receiving the program’s annual resident research award. She then completed her neuro-oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she served as chief fellow in her second year and was selected as the Wasserman Fund fellow. She is a member of the Society for Neuro-oncology, where she has presented her academic work at national meetings. As a proud graduate of the neurology residency at the University of Miami, she is also passionate about graduate medical education. -

Research Interests
Dr. Kushnirsky’s research interests include primary brain tumors, specifically low grade glioma non-invasive diagnosis, as well as targeted therapies for high and low grade gliomas. -
