Dr. Madeleine Norris, PhD, MSc, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Education (Anatomy) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She teaches gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, embryology, and histology to health professional students, graduate students, and continuing education healthcare learners. Dr. Norris directs the anatomy discipline within the Phase 1 (pre-clerkship) curriculum and contributes to teaching across all stages of training within the School of Medicine. She also collaborates with graduate medical education programs to deliver clinically-relevant anatomy and ultrasound imaging instruction to medical residents and fellows.
At the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Norris is actively engaged in institutional service, including participation on multiple curricular committees. Beyond her institutional roles, she is an active member within the American Association for Anatomy (AAA) where she has served as a member on the Board of Directors and Professional Development Committee, and is currently serving as Chair of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Norris is also an editorial board member for Anatomical Sciences Education and BMC Medical Education journals.
