Biography
Dr. Liviu Cojocaru is a specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Critical Care with a testamur in Critical Care Echocardiography. With expertise at the intersection of high-risk obstetrics and intensive care, Dr. Cojocaru plays a leading role in advancing maternal critical care at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
He is a recognized specialist in placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) disorders and performs high-complexity obstetric surgeries including cesarean hysterectomy, abdominal cerclage placement, and complex cesarean deliveries. His surgical experience, combined with critical care acumen, allows for integrated management of high-risk patients requiring multidisciplinary coordination.
Dr. Cojocaru is also actively involved in the development of an Advanced Maternal Care (AMC) Program, designed to provide coordinated, longitudinal care for women facing severe maternal morbidity. His clinical focus includes establishing structured pathways for obstetric patients requiring intensive monitoring or intervention during pregnancy and postpartum.
