Lilliam Guzman, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician in the UHealth medical system. She is assistant professor of Clinical Medicine in the division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. DR. Guzman is Medical Director of UHealth International and Medical Director of the Internal Medicine Faculty Practice on our main medical campus. She holds faculty attending appointments at the University of Miami Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Guzman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and completed her medical training at Mount Sinai Medical School and Hospital Affiliates in New York City. While in New York she worked in both the private and academic sectors and was appointed as interim director of outpatient clinics by Cabrini Medical Center where she spearheaded the Hispanic Health Initiative, a community outreach program for underserved populations, where receiving the New York Regents award for service to underprivileged populations.Dr. Guzman has been a faculty educator with the University of Miami for 21 years, receiving numerous awards including Best Doctors in America, Compassionate Physician awards and recently the Patients Choice Award for excellence in patient care and the Top Ten Doctor’s, an award given to less than 3% of physicians in the US.Dr. Guzman continues to be involved in medical education as a preceptor for third year medical students and residents at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital, receiving high marks from her juniors. She is a faculty Longitudinal Clinical Educator in the innovative Next Generation Curriculum. At the Miller School of Medicine and has extensive experience educating our future generation of doctors.As Medical Director of UHealth International she serves as a liaison for patients from across the globe and contributes in making The University of Miami a leader in global health.
