As a native of North Carolina, Dr. Leigh Anne Dickinson received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She continued her education in NC, and she obtained her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine residency at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC where she served as chief resident. Most recently, she has joined the Department of Medicine at the University of Miami as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine. Her clinical interests include medical education, quality improvement research, improving patient safety, graduate medical education mentorship and hospital administration.
