Biography
Dr. Leandro Singerman joined the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Radiology in January 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology in the Emergency and Trauma Division.
Dr. Singerman earned his medical degree from the National University of Rosario in Argentina, where he also completed his diagnostic radiology residency and served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete three fellowships in the United States—Abdominal Imaging and Cardiothoracic Imaging at Cleveland Clinic Florida, and Emergency/Trauma Radiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami.
Before joining UM, Dr. Singerman held academic appointments at the National University of Rosario, where he served as Associate Professor of Radiology and examiner for the residency program, as well as faculty in ophthalmology, rheumatology, and internal medicine. He also trained residents at multiple trauma centers in Rosario and practiced as an attending radiologist in both hospital and outpatient settings.
His research has focused on trauma imaging, musculoskeletal disease, and cardiothoracic imaging. He has published in Biocell and Updates in Osteology and is contributing to upcoming book chapters in Atlas of Emergency Imaging and Trauma and Whole Body CT. He has also presented widely at international meetings in radiology and rheumatology.
Dr. Singerman is an active member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Emergency Radiology, the European Society of Radiology, the Radiological Society of Spain, and the Argentine Federation of Radiology Associations. At UM, he brings extensive international experience and advanced subspecialty training to the care of trauma and emergency patients while contributing to the department’s teaching and research missions. -
