Dr. Oladeji grew up on the South Side of Chicago. He discovered his passion for medicine and science at a very early age. In the 8th grade, he joined the Physician Scientist Training Program. From thereon, he spent his summers pursuing his goal of being a physician scientist. Through his participation in this program, he gained experience to the scientific process working at Temple University, the National Institutes of Health, Rosetta Inphramatics, Toronto Western Research Institute, and the University of Texas Southwestern. These experiences played in instrumental role in his development during these formative years and further solidified his desire to dedicate his life to helping others.
Dr. Oladeji earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University, followed by medical training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Oladeji completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri, where he also pursued a PhD in Pathobiology. As part of this work, he formulated an arthroscopic fluid that minimized inflammation. He then completed advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York—consistently ranked the #1 hospital in the United States for orthopaedic surgery. While at HSS, he served as the assistant team physician for the NY Knicks and NY Mets.
Dr. Oladeji’s clinical approach blends evidence-based medicine with patient-centered care, tailored to help active adults, elite athletes, and patients recover mobility, regain function, and achieve long-term joint health. His expertise includes advanced techniques such as ACL reconstruction with Internal Brace, robotic partial knee replacement, patient-specific instrumented osteotomies, and stemless shoulder arthroplasty. Dr. Oladeji believes in crafting a surgical plan that best fits each patient.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Oladeji maintains an active research portfolio with numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international scientific meetings. His academic work spans cartilage restoration, ligament injury outcomes, and surgical innovations in sports medicine. He has received honors for his research contributions, including the Littlejohn Legacy Research Award and the Olson Award during his residency.
Dr. Oladeji’s professional experience also includes service as a team physician at various competitive sporting events and affiliations with collegiate and professional athletic organizations. He sees patients at multiple clinic locations in South Florida, including UHealth SoLé Mia and UHealth Plantation.
