Biography
Kendall Donaldson, M.D., M.S., is a cornea specialist at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, whose primary research interests are in the areas of advancement in cataract surgery, and in particular, laser-assisted cataract surgery, and severe ocular surface disease. She performs various types of corneal transplantation procedures, laser vision correction procedures, ocular surface reconstruction, and cataract surgery. She has served as the medical director of Bascom Palmer in Plantation, Florida from 2004-present and also served as the Cornea Fellowship Co-director from 2013-2020. Each year, she contributes to the field of ophthalmology through her commitment to teaching on a local, national and international level, and presents more than 150 lectures while maintaining a busy clinical practice. She has authored a variety of peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She started a new journal (Corneal Physician) and corresponding virtual meeting (the Corneal Physician Symposium) during COVID and co-directs a certificate program for refractive surgery education (20/Happy) for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS). Additionally, she serves on the editorial board for several trade journals and the planning committee for many national meetings. She also serves as the chairman for the ASCRS Refractive Subcommittee for which she has published a variety of peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Donaldson was named to The Ophthalmologist Power List 2021, 2022, and 2023. -
