        BiographyDr. Julieta Aristizábal Barón joined the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Radiology as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology in August 2025. Originally from Medellín, Colombia, she earned her medical degree and completed her radiology residency at the University of Antioquia, where she graduated with distinction, ranking among the top of her class. She subsequently practiced as a diagnostic radiologist in Colombia before pursuing advanced training in the United States.
 At the University of Miami/Jackson Health System, Dr. Aristizábal completed multiple fellowships, including Emergency Radiology and Trauma (2021–2022), Body Imaging (2022–2023), and Neuroradiology (2023–2024). She is currently completing an additional year in Nuclear Medicine (2024–2025), further broadening her expertise across subspecialties. While her primary clinical interest is in neuroradiology, her diverse fellowship training has provided her with comprehensive skills in acute care, cross-sectional body imaging, and molecular imaging.
 Dr. Aristizábal has contributed extensively to the academic radiology community through peer-reviewed publications, educational exhibits, and national and international conference presentations. Her work includes research in neuroimaging, trauma imaging, and oncologic applications, with recognition such as the Best Pediatric Radiology Poster Award at the Colombian Congress of Radiology and multiple accepted abstracts at the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) annual meeting. She has also co-authored publications in Neurographics and the European Journal of Radiology.
 Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Aristizábal is committed to advancing patient care through both clinical excellence and academic contributions. She is an active member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), and is dedicated to medical education, mentorship, and collaborative research that enhance the field of radiology.
