Dr. Blaquier is an Assistant Professor of Neuro-Oncology and leads the Brain Metastasis Program within the Division of Neuro-Oncology. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Medical Oncology in his home country. He subsequently completed a Neuro-Oncology fellowship at the University of Miami.
Dr. Blaquier is actively engaged in multiple clinical and translational research projects. He was selected to participate in the prestigious 2024 ASCO/AACR Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop and received both the Translational and Clinical Oncology Trainee Research Pilot Project Award and the inaugural FLASCO Emerging Oncology Leaders Research Grant for his work on resistance mechanisms to IDH inhibitors in gliomas.
His research focuses on targeted therapies for primary central nervous system tumors and brain metastases, with a particular emphasis on resistance mechanisms.
