Dr. Jose Tolosa is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Miami, specializing in neonatology. He completed his medical education at the University of Uruguay before pursuing a pediatric residency at Texas Tech University in El Paso, TX.
Dr. Tolosa further honed his expertise with a Neonatology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.With 17 years of experience in private practice focusing on pediatrics and neonatology, he joined the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2017. His research interests are centered on respiratory control and the respiratory outcomes of premature infants, where he works to improve the care and treatment of newborns facing respiratory challenges.
