Biography
Dr. Jose Condor Capcha is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He earned his Ph.D. in pathophysiology from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a post-doctoral fellow, Dr. Condor Capcha trained in cardiology at the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute (ISCI).
Currently, Dr. Condor Capcha spearheads lab work on cardiac inflammation in COVID-induced myocarditis, long COVID, and HFpEF projects at the ISCI. Dr. Condor Capcha’s impactful work in the growing field of virology, immunology, and cardiology has been published in prestigious journals such as PNAS, Stem Cells translational Medicine, and JAHA, resulting in funded grants. -
