Jorge Cabrera, DO is board certified in critical care medicine and the medical director of the CVICU at UHealth Tower where he takes care of patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries. His professional interests focus on cardiac surgical unit advanced life support, difficult airway management, point-of-care echocardiography, and ECLS. Dr. Cabrera completed his critical care medicine training at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015, where he served as the inaugural critical care ultrasound fellow. He subsequently went on to pass both the NBE's Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography and Critical Care Echocardiography exams. Dr. Cabrera was an instructor at the Baltimore cadaveric airway course directed by Dr. Levitan for over 8 years, and has taught at over 80 national and international airway courses.
