Dr. Durrani is a board-certified hematologic oncologist at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and assistant professor of clinical medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from The Aga Khan University Hospital in Pakistan. Dr. Durrani completed his residency in internal medicine at Jefferson Abington Hospital in Pennsylvania, an experimental therapeutics fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Ohio, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at National Institutes of Health. A key career highlight is his one year of additional advanced fellowship in bone marrow failure syndromes at National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. His research interests include aplastic anemia, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, large granular lymphocytic leukemia and VEXAS syndrome.
