Biography
Jibran Durrani, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Durrani is also a board-certified hematologic oncologist at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from The Aga Khan University Hospital (Pakistan) and completed internal medicine residency at Jefferson Abington Hospital, experimental therapeutics fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, and hematology/oncology fellowship at NIH. He also completed an advanced fellowship in bone marrow failure syndromes at NHLBI. His research includes aplastic anemia, immune mediated cytopenia, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, large granular lymphocytic leukemia, inherited causes of bone marrow failure syndromes, clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP), clonal cytopenia of undetermined significance (CCUS), inherited genetic variants that predispose individuals to myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and VEXAS syndrome. -
