Biography
Dr. Jessica S. Crystal is a complex general surgical oncologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami where she was an Echols Honors Scholar. She earned her MD and completed her residency in General Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. During her training, she completed a Research and Clinical Fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Immunotherapy at the National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Crystal is board certified in General Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology. Her clinical and research interests focus on breast and cutaneous malignancies. Her clinical practices are located at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center near downtown Miami and Aventura, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. -

Teaching Interests
Dr. Crystal teaches medical students, residents, and fellows the principles and evidence based practices of Complex General Surgical Oncology. She places an emphasis on helping her trainees successfully pass their board examinations. -
Research Interests
Dr. Crystal's research interests focus on advancing the knowledge of the management of breast cancer and cutaneous malignancies with the goal of improving clinical outcomes. -
