Biography
Dr. Jessica Meshman is a board certified Radiation Oncologist at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, specializing in the treatment of breast cancer and central nervous system (CNS) tumors. Dr. Meshman earned her medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at UCLA Olive-View prior to radiation oncology residency at the University of Miami. She offers advanced, personalized radiation therapies, including intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), Gamma Knife and LINAC based stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy, proton therapy, and MR guided adaptive therapy, as part of a multidisciplinary team in both downtown Miami and Coral Gables, Florida.
Dr. Meshman is fellowship trained through the Osher Collaborative Faculty Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health, and she is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine. She incorporates evidence based lifestyle and wellness approaches — including nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep optimization, and mind body strategies — to support patients through cancer treatment and survivorship, helping reduce side effects and enhance quality of life. Her clinical passion focuses on tailoring treatment plans that combine cutting-edge technology with holistic support.
She is also a committed educator and leader in medical education. Dr. Meshman serves as a Longitudinal Clinical Educator and the Director for multiple courses of Medicine as a Profession at the Miller School of Medicine, where she teaches and mentors over 400 medical students annually, shaping the next generation of physicians with a focus on humanistic, evidence based care.
Dr. Meshman’s research interests include clinical trials, survivorship, integrative oncology, and improving clinical quality and patient safety. She actively enrolls patients in clinical research studies and is trained in Lean Six Sigma methodology to enhance healthcare delivery. -
