Jennifer Chapman is an academic Hematopathologist and Director of the Division of Hematopathology for the University of Miami, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Jackson Health System. Dr. Chapman has extensive experience and expertise in the diagnosis of hematopoietic neoplasms with her clinical work volume averaging 15,000 RVU per year (~ 230% of the national average). The Hematopathology Division which Dr. Chapman directs is responsible for diagnostic testing of hematopoietic neoplasms for all patients within our health system and consultation practice. Dr. Chapman has coauthored more than 90 peer reviewed publications with her research focus primarily on identification of genetic contributors to lymphomagenesis and lymphoma progression, particularly in the context of viral related lymphomas, and descriptions of novel diagnostic and prognostic markers of disease classification. Additionally, Dr. Chapman has served as director of the immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization laboratory, histology laboratories, anatomic pathology and hematopathology division operations, associate program director for the pathology residency program, and fellowship director for the hematopathology fellowship program. Dr. Chapman currently serves as director of the division of hematopathology, the lymphoma clinical service line, and is associate director of the cancer center line for Pathology. In these capacities, she has gained extensive experience in operational process and test development in pathology and has directed the validation and implementation of a variety of clinically useful diagnostic modalities. Dr. Chapman is an excellent educator and has won the annual pathology teaching award more than 10 times. She serves as formal mentor to several pathology faculty, residents and fellows, as well as undergraduate students.
