Dr. Jeffrey Leichter is a board certified Interventional Radiologist with expertise in Musculoskeletal, Spine, Dialysis, Venous, and Arterial interventions. A South Florida native, Dr. Leichter matriculated from Pine Crest Preparatory School in Fort Lauderdale. After high school, Dr. Leichter attended The University of Missouri-Kansas City, an accelerated six year medical school.
Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Leichter immersed himself in basic science and clinical research in Dr. Thomas Brady's Cardiovascular Imaging lab at The Massachusetts General Hospital. His training continued at the Saint Rafael campus of Yale New Haven Hospital where he completed a Transitional Year Internship. After this, Dr. Leichter completed a radiology residency at Temple University in Philadelphia followed by a Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Leichter completed his post doctoral training with a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
After fellowship, Dr. Leichter and his wife moved to northeast Kansas. As the first board certified Interventional Radiologist in the region, Dr. Leichter had the opportunity to introduce the community to new techniques including Interventional Oncology. While there, Dr. Leichter established the first dedicated Interventional Radiology clinic where he focused on treating patients with severe arterial and superficial venous disease.
Recently, Dr. Leichter's family has expanded to include two beautiful children. They decided to relocate to South Florida to be closer to family. Dr. Leichter is happy to be back home, as a member of a great academic institution
