Biography
Dr. Jaime Dickerson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami, where she has been a faculty member since August 2020. She specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology and is dedicated to clinical teaching, research, and improving patient care. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, where she graduated in 2016.
Dr. Dickerson completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York, from 2016 to 2020. During her residency, she served as Administrative Chief Resident in her final year, where she honed her leadership and administrative skills.
Dr. Dickerson has made significant contributions to medical education, regularly leading resident and medical student lectures at the University of Miami and Jackson Health System, as well as clinical teaching in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Her commitment to education was recognized with multiple teaching awards, including the Outstanding Teaching Resident award in 2019 from NYU Winthrop Hospital and the Teaching in Obstetrics Award from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2023.
In her professional service, Dr. Dickerson has been involved in several leadership roles, including the residency program Clinical Competency Committee and the Miller School of Medicine Admissions Committee.
Dr. Dickerson is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and holds a Florida medical license. Her commitment to advancing both patient care and medical education continues to make her a valuable member of the University of Miami community. -
