Ivan Jozic, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He obtained his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Florida International University and followed this with postdoctoral training in the Wound Healing Research Program at UM prior to joining the faculty in 2019. Dr. Jozic was a 3M postdoctoral fellow from the Wound Healing Foundation and a winner of the Young Investigator Award and Junior Faculty Award from the Wound Healing Society, as well as a H. Paul Ehrlich Rising Star Award from the Wound Healing Foundation, the Novartis Research Scholar Award winner from American Skin Association and the Junior Faculty Development Award winner from the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Jozic is a full faculty member in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Program in Biomedical Sciences (PIBS), and he serves on the Admissions Committee for the graduate program. He is also a Faculty Council representative for the Dermatology Department. Dr. Jozic is an active member of several professional societies including Wound Healing Society, Wound Healing Foundation and the Society for Investigative Dermatology and is a review panel member for various funding agencies and scientific journals.
