I was both and raised in Montreal Canada and successfully completed both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science at the prestigious McGill University. I then completed medical school at the Technion in Haifa, Israel and returned tot he USA for my surgery residency training in New York at Mount Sinai and Northshore / Long Island Jewish Hospital. I then completed my Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Fellowship at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital / Ryder Trauma Center. After fellowship I was appointed as Clinical Instructor and the Assistant Professor of Surgery and UM/JMH where I currently remain. I have been very active both clinically with a focus on advanced wound healing and abdominal wall reconstruction as well as medical school education. In addition I am also a member of the Miami Dade Fire Rescue Urban Search and Rescue Florida's Taskforce-1 and have been deployed on numerous occasions to assist after a wide range of disasters, including the tragic Surfside Condominium collapse.
