Dr. Harry Wine was born and raised in Miami; he stayed in Miami for his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, and then worked for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He continued on to get his master’s degree in human nutrition at Columbia University before starting medical school at the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Dr. Wine continued his medical training at Temple, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency and was a member of the Medical Education track. He moved back home to Miami and joined as faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the Hospital Medicine division.
